Recently named by SmartCEO magazine as a Chief Executive Officer operating one of the 50 fastest-growing companies with headquarters in New York, Leslie Kaminoff is a recognized industry leader dedicated to the highest standard of client service.


Before founding AKAM in 1983, Mr. Kaminoff was Director of Property Management and Assistant Director of Real Estate for Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. There, he oversaw the development of housing for hospital staff as well as acquisition of property for use by the hospital. Since establishing AKAM Living Services, he has cultivated a reputation for himself and the AKAM name as one of the nation’s premier providers of exceptional real estate services.

 

A management industry leader, Mr. Kaminoff has studied the principles of gold star service and hospitality through the Ritz-Carlton Executive Leadership Program, and he has instilled those principles into each of his companies.  He is actively committed to the professionalization of the real estate service industry, and has served as a Governor of the New York Chapter of Registered Apartment Managers (RAM) and an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Real Estate Institute.  He is a frequent speaker at industry seminars, the author of numerous articles, author of the book, What to Expect From Your Property Manager, and co-author of the book, How To Choose The Right Management Company For Your Residential Property: A Decision-Maker's Guide.  

 

In his more than three decades of contribution to the real estate service sector, Mr. Kaminoff has been an active participant in, and has been consistently celebrated by, various industry associations, including Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York, the Rent Stabilization Association, the Real Estate Board of New York, and the New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM), which has recognized him with the coveted Dedicated to the Industry Award.

AKAM Living Services President Michael Berenson is responsible for overseeing the operations of all companies under the AKAM Living Services umbrella. For AKAM On-Site, Inc., Mr. Berenson works closely with CEO Leslie Kaminoff and company president Susan Fitch on client retention, new business development, and corporate strategy. Mr. Berenson is the recipient of numerous industry awards, including Habitat magazine's Management Achievement Award for Finance, which he has won twice.

Susan Fitch, LCAM
President

AKAM On-Site, Inc. President Susan Fitch is an acknowledged residential management authority with specific expertise in corporate quality assurance and client satisfaction. An industry professional for three decades, Ms. Fitch’s experience includes prior positions as Executive Director and Director of Training for such organizations as Sheraton, Starwood, and The Atlantis Paradise Island. At AKAM On-Site, Ms. Fitch inaugurated the position of Vice President of Service Excellence, the only position of its kind in the Florida residential management industry. In her current capacity as President of AKAM On-Site, Ms. Fitch is responsible for overseeing all AKAM On-Site internal operations, and for working closely with Mr. Kaminoff, Mr. Berenson, and all AKAM On-Site client Boards to ensure that the highest level of service is consistently delivered to every AKAM On-Site-managed association.

Stephen Needleman, CPA, CGMA
Chief Financial Officer

Stephen Needleman, CPA, is responsible for ensuring the superior delivery of service from the AKAM On-Site Finance and Accounting Department. A seasoned Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in the residential real estate industry, Mr. Needleman supervises the preparation of budgets, financial reports, and investment status for all our client associations. A member of the AKAM On-Site Executive Echelon Mr. Needleman and his staff of Financial Analysts, Staff Accountants, and Bank Reconciliation Specialists work directly with association Treasurers and outside auditors and accountants, regularly reviewing all AKAM On-Site client property finances and assuring that associations are operating within their budgetary parameters.

David Cohen, LCAM
Vice President

As Vice President, David Cohen is responsible for ensuring that AKAM On-Site internal operations are of a uniformly superior quality. Working with each internal AKAM department - including Management, Finance and Accounting, and Payroll - Mr. Cohen analyzes and fine-tunes all processes and procedures with a specific eye toward efficiency and client service. At AKAM On-Site, Mr. Cohen served as Vice President of Service Excellence, the only position of its kind in the Florida residential management industry. Responsible for ensuring the continued satisfaction of all AKAM On-Site clients, Mr. Cohen regularly visits client associations and maintains ongoing communication with Board presidents, treasurers, and other Board members.
